WILLIAMSBURG, VA – For the third time, Williamsburg Landing has won the ICAA NuStep Beacon Award, “Best in Wellness". This award recognizes the Top 25 Senior Living Communities in North America for their dedication and comprehensive approach to wellness, benefitting all who live and work in their community.
The award was created as a joint effort between International Council on Active Aging (ICAA) and NuStep, LLC, a major manufacturer of recumbent cross-trainers used in healthcare, senior living and fitness. "As wellness continues to flourish in the industry, we are delighted to provide recognition for organizations and leaders who are making a significant impact. All of our esteemed award winners serve as inspiring role models, leading the way in promoting wellness for both organizations and residents" says Colin Milner, CEO and founder of ICAA.
Wellness is typically defined by seven key dimensions: emotional, physical, intellectual, social, spiritual, vocational and environmental. Prioritizing and nurturing these seven dimensions enables individuals to embrace their potential to pursue and optimize life’s possibilities. As the older adult population grows, senior living communities like Williamsburg Landing can significantly impact health, longevity and quality of life by establishing and supporting wellness as an essential, beneficial way of life.

Williamsburg Landing is the first accredited Life Plan Community in the region. The independent, non-profit organization provides a gracious, socially enriched environment and full continuum of care including independent living, assisted living, memory support, short & long term nursing and adult day services to accommodate seniors needs through every stage of life.
