March 29, 2017 – Williamsburg, VA – Williamsburg Landing’s President and CEO, Greg Storer, has announced the appointment of Vernon M. Baker as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. This new appointment is effective June 1, 2017.
Baker brings over 28 years of operational experience at various senior living communities. He joins Williamsburg Landing from Dogwood Village of Orange County Health and Rehab, in Orange, Virginia. Baker served as Administrator since 2002, where he reported directly to a commission appointed by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange. Earlier in his career, Baker held the position of Senior Vice President of Operations for American HealthCare in Roanoke. He currently serves as Board Chairman of the Virginia Health Care Association (VHCA), where he has held leadership roles since 1996. In recent years, Baker has been awarded both the VHCA/NCAL Nursing Facility Administrator of the Year and the Assisted
Living Administrator of the Year. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Education
from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
