2016 LeadingAge Virginia Art Contest

Many residents at Williamsburg Landing participate in our art programs and classes offered in the community. Our hallways are decorated with resident artwork created over the years. Some of our ambitious and talented residents entered their personal pieces in LeadingAge Virginia’s annual art contest. LeadingAge Virginia is an organization of not-for profit retirement communities ranging from independent living, assisted living, memory care, long-term care, and continuing care retirement communities. Sixteen communities in Virginia participated, with 280 art entries in three different categories: painting, photography and mixed media. Seven residents from Williamsburg Landing participated, and three were awarded with honorable mentions:

  • “Sea Shells” by Kathryn VanBourgondien
  • “Christmas Memories” by Bertice Walker
  • “Belle’s Café” by Christina Zuckerberg

A big thank you to Sydney Thomas, Member Services Manager at LeadingAge Virginia, for coming to award our participating residents!
