Independent Living Clinic Welcomes New Providers

Dr. Baines’ office hours will be Monday-Thursday between 7:00am to 4:00pm. Nurse practitioner, Kimberly Johnson’s office hours will be Friday 7:00am-4:00pm.

Stress and strain seem to have become a part of everyday life for many of us during this global pandemic and Williamsburg Landing wants to help you relax. In celebration of National Relaxation Day on August 15th, we encourage you to slow down and unwind. It’s a day to focus on taking care of yourself and take a moment to relax. 

Cycling Without Age Trishaw Makes 2020 Debut at Williamsburg Landing

Williamsburg Landing is a proud sponsor of Cycling Without Age Williamsburg and happy to announce that it will be the first community to offer Trishaw rides in 2020.

Cycling Without Age is a movement that was started in Copenhagen, Denmark as a solution to helping seniors with limited mobility get back on their bicycles. The founder began offering free trishaw rides to local nursing home residents and found that he was able to spark joy in their lives by giving everyone the right to wind in their hair.

Williamsburg Landing’s Outstanding Service to Seniors Award honors Rick Jackson

Williamsburg Landing is proud to announce that Rick Jackson has been selected as the 2020 recipient of the Outstanding Service to Seniors Award. The annual award is chosen during Older Americans Month in May and is presented in partnership with the Williamsburg Community Foundation. The Williamsburg Landing Fund was established with the Community Foundation to honor those who have exhibited outstanding service in the field of senior services in Williamsburg.

 

A Reflection on Time Spent with a Resident Poet

May is Older Americans Month. The theme this year—Make Your Mark—was selected to encourage and celebrate the countless contributions that older adults make to our communities. The contributions that Williamsburg Landing residents have made to our community and Williamsburg as a whole benefit family, peers and neighbors every day. So this month, we will be sharing their stories with you in the hope that together we can all work to make an even bigger mark on the community!

Williamsburg Landing is now a Certified Wildlife Habitat as declared by the National Wildlife Federation

Positive Diagnosis of COVID-19 for Resident of Williamsburg Landing

Williamsburg, Virginia: March 27, 2020 An Independent Living resident of Williamsburg Landing, a Continuing Care/Life Plan community, has been diagnosed with COVID-19. The resident is currently in the hospital.  Williamsburg Landing is working closely with the public health officials to determine who may have come in contact with the resident.

Williamsburg Landing Announces Juanita Parks as New Chief Financial Officer

WILLIAMSBURG, VA- Williamsburg Landing has appointed Juanita Parks, CPA as their new Chief Financial Officer effective February 14, 2020.

Third Consecutive CARF Accreditation Awarded to Williamsburg Landing

November 11, 2019 -- Williamsburg Landing, the area’s premier Life Plan Community has been awarded a Five-Year Term of accreditation by CARF International. This latest accreditation is the third consecutive CARF accreditation that has been awarded to Williamsburg Landing.

Williamsburg Landing has been honored by the Greater Williamsburg Chamber and Tourism Alliance as the winner of its 2019 Health Promoter Award.
