Dr. Lakshmi Chaudhuri
MD, CMD

After attending Eastern Virginia Medical School, Dr. Chaudhuri completed a few years at Penn State Medical College internal medicine residency and finished her family medicine residency at the Portsmouth branch of Eastern Virginia Medical School.  She has 19 years of experience as a Board Certified family physician and 17 years-experience in geriatrics with special certification working with skilled nursing facilities as a Medical Director.  As a physician and educator, Dr. Chaudhuri stresses compliance with medications, exercise, nutrition and having a healthy support system towards leading a long and healthy life.  Dr. Chaudhuri enjoys tennis, reading, playing the guitar and spending time with family.

We are proud announce the appointment of Universal Health Corporation to serve as our Primary Health Provider for Assisted Living, Memory Support and Health & Rehabilitation effective August 1, 2022.  Universal Health Corporation specializes in providing the best quality of care to post-acute and long-term care facilities.  They will be focused on educating residetns on positive health habits, monitoring and tracking any health concerns and providing medical management.



We are pleased to announce the apointment of Dr. Robert Walters, Jr. as Medical Director for Williamsburg Landing's Health & Rehabilitation Center, Assisted Living and Memory Support.  Dr. Walters earned a BS from the University of Virginia, a graduate degree from Tulane University and completed a post-graduate geriatrics fellowship at Wake Forest Univerity.  He holds certificates from The American Board of Internal Medicine, a Certificate of Added Qualificiation in Geriatric Medicine, and is a Certified Medical Director.  His 19 years of experience includes serving as a physician for Long Term Care of Virginia and Mid Atlantic Long Term Care in Norfolk.

Jennifer Armijo, is our Family Nurse Practitioner.  Jennifer has a Master of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington.  She is highly motivated, skilled and a trained healthcare professional with more than 16 years of experience.  Her last 7 years of experience have been spent in diverse specialties and settings with expertise in independent assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of care for patients across the lifespan with a broad range of acute and chronic health conditions.
