Dr. Lakshmi Chaudhuri

After attending Eastern Virginia Medical School, Dr. Chaudhuri completed a few years at Penn State Medical College internal medicine residency and finished her family medicine residency at the Portsmouth branch of Eastern Virginia Medical School.  She has 19 years of experience as a Board Certified family physician and 17 years-experience in geriatrics with special certification working with skilled nursing facilities as a Medical Director.  As a physician and educator, Dr. Chaudhuri stresses compliance with medications, exercise, nutrition and having a healthy support system towards leading a long and healthy life.  Dr. Chaudhuri enjoys tennis, reading, playing the guitar and spending time with family.



We are proud announce the appointment of Universal Health Corporation to serve as our Primary Health Provider for Assisted Living, Memory Support and Health & Rehabilitation effective August 1, 2022.  Universal Health Corporation specializes in providing the best quality of care to post-acute and long-term care facilities.  They will be focused on educating residetns on positive health habits, monitoring and tracking any health concerns and providing medical management.

Dr. Harold Stepanek

Medical Director
Health & Rehabilitation, Assisted Living & Memory Support

Dr. Stepanek is board certified and has several years of experience over a range of medical specialities. After graduating from the University of Guadalajara/Downstate NY, he trained in the NYC Hospital system in Internal Medicine. He had a private/hospital practice and held positions as SNF Medical Director. Dr. Stepanek subsequently transitioned the oversight of corporate medical clinics and is a certified Medical Review Officer (MRO).


Sherri Sapp

Nurse Practitioner

Sherri is local to Williamsburg and comes to us with several years of experience in both acute care and long term care, as a former Director of Nursing in a senior living community.
