The History of Williamsburg Landing

Celebrating a Unique Legacy.

In the 1970s, local leaders from the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation and the College of William & Mary recognized the need for a Life Plan Community in Williamsburg. Their hard work and dedication came to fruition when Williamsburg Landing opened its doors in 1985. By upholding their vision, identifying emerging needs and responding accordingly, Williamsburg Landing has continued to grow by adding new living options and amenities, and expanding services and programs to meet the changing needs of residents and the surrounding community.
