Williamsburg Landing’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging (DEIB) Plan

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Williamsburg Landing’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging Plan reflects our commitment to promoting awareness of and respect for the diversity of our residents, staff, family members and other community stakeholders. The Plan includes specific objectives that affirm Williamsburg Landing’s commitment to being a welcoming, inclusive community: one that holds people in high esteem, considers all aspects of diversity in its approach to care and services, and seeks to improve relations among all people. The Plan sponsors focused action in multiple areas of our organization’s life, including but not limited to resident life enrichment, staff activities/training, marketing and community relations, philanthropy, and Board/Leadership recruitment.

This plan supports the objectives in Williamsburg Landing’s Strategic Plan specifically in that it addresses:

  2. Enhancing the greater community’s perception of Williamsburg Landing as a welcoming environment
  3. Establishing internal accountability for change to include formal reporting of diversity statistics
  4. Expanding social responsibility through support of external organizations that serve seniors
