Williamsburg Landing Appoints New Adult Day Director
December 10, 2025 – Williamsburg Landing is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Sander as the Director of the Adult Day Center, following the retirement of long-time director Debbie Whybra.
Debbie joined Williamsburg Landing in 2018 and played a pivotal role in opening the Adult Day Center, leaving a lasting impact through her warm leadership and deep commitment to serving participants, families, and her team. While Debbie retires, the next chapter of Adult Day begins with a leader well-prepared to build on her strong foundation.
Paul Sander brings over 30 years of experience in healthcare administration and organizational leadership, along with a diverse and accomplished background. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from John Carroll University and a Master of Healthcare Administration through the U.S. Army–Baylor University program. A retired U.S. Army Medical Service Corps Lieutenant Colonel, Paul has served as Program Director at the Richmond VA Medical Center’s Polytrauma Transitional Rehabilitation Center and most recently as a senior consultant with High Reliability Solutions, Inc.
Paul completed his Assisted Living Facility Administrator license earlier this year through the Virginia Board of Long Term Care Administrators, under supervision of Williamsburg Landing’s Chief Clinical Officer, Vonnie Adams. “Paul’s expertise and commitment to person-centered care position him well to guide the Adult Day Center into its next phase of growth and innovation,” said Vonnie. “We are confident he will be an exceptional leader for our participants, families, and team.”
